THANK GOD THE INTERNET IN CAMP IS FINALLY WORKING!
At least i won't die of boredom...
I was reading my book, Facing Your Giants, looking for a paragraph or chapter that i can share with Elizabeth.
I feel that she's really going through a rough patch right now and what she needs now is the love from God. And encouragement for His people.
Well, i was surprised the when i randomly opened my book to a a page, it was exactly the words that i am looking for to encourage dear Eliz.
Here goes,
"God who is never downcast, never tires of your down days.
David neglected good advice. Learn from his mistake. Next time, you lack the will to go on, seek healthy counsel.
You won't want to. Slumping people love slumping people. Hurting people hang with hurting people. We love those who commiserate and avoid those who correct. Yet correction and direction are what we need."
Eliz, be like David.
1 Sam. 30:6 (NIV) - David found strength in the Lord his God.
Yes, this may be a simple verse, but it is powerful as well. It reminds you that God is your source for strength when you're weak.
One last verse for you to remember.
Psalm 27:1 (NIV) - The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
