Core genres hardly appeal to me.
Not that I'm a purists who refuses to believe that we co-exist in a world with such ridiculous genre.
"Deathcore - A horrific combination of death metal (usually "brutal death metal") and modern metalcore."
Deathcore is so similar to metalcore, just that the pace of their music is fast, sounds more brutal, and instead of having a breakdown, they have a couple more... Which can be annoying...
But like every genre, there's always something that would stand out, and something that is bad. So, i decided to give this 'new breed of metal' genre a chance. However, as far as deathcore goes they're not that terrible. I'd give it a 20% or so; there's far, far worse music out there.
What's hilarious about the genre is how their fans check them out at live concerts. Instead of headbanging, having their fist raise, they do a little bit of dancing. Yes, dancing that will never make it to, "So You Think You Think You Can Dance".
The right word for it is MOSHING.
When a song reaches to a certain part, which is known as a breakdown (breakdowns are heavily used in metalcore/deathcore), they will form a circle (moshpit) among the concert-goers and headbang while 'hopping' around in circles... When breakdown part comes, they start raising their fist and even legs, and starts beating anyone in there...
Though, it's a way of appreciating their music, it's also a case for a number of disruptive concerts with fights. Moshing isn't deliberate intentions of picking one another and knocking each other off, but some take it to a serious point that they become unhappy with the fella who hit him, and a fight begins...
Well, giving a few listens, true enough, Deathcore can be a good, it cna be bad as well... However, I try to restrict myself from exporing further on this genre. Maybe 5 months later, i 'll give it another shot.
Notable bands I enjoy:
Notable bands
All Shall Perish
Between The Buried and Me (Metalcore)
Despised Icon
The rest are just unoriginal... Deathcore cliches ripping each others music...
